Floaty random movement - How to create

edited April 2014 in General
Id like to have some butterflies randomly flitter and float around - any suggestions on how to get this started?

Comments

  • Maybe start with an animated butterfly sprite, with gravity turned off. Have a timer set to send a random number into the x & y velocity every few seconds.

That will probably get you a decent start.

You can also have x be forward, and have a timer on random that makes the butterfly flip every time it sends the number 2. That way it will turn around completely randomly.
Timer (always on) --- random --- (set) and (in) number --- filter equals 2 --- flip toggle
  • can you make a attack bowl?
  • A what?
