Adventures of a 8-bit ninja demo and update log

Try this out,

This game is currently on version 0.1

All I have so far is the running and jumping physics and there animations. Still, try it and tell me what you think.

I'll try to update this discussion whenever I make a significant update.


  • I think everything so far works amazingly! Just some different sprites for the floor/walls, of course. Did you make the actual animations and spritework for the character! That looks awesome! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

  • The ninja sprite and about half of the animations are from but I made bout half of the animations and I also arranged them.
  • You should start making your own sprites.
  • I do make a lot on my own, but I couldn't make anything near the detail and animations I can get elsewhere, though when possible I make my own I if borrowing artwork will make the game significantly better, I generally do that.

    Edited: Fixed the problem. Am working on adding attacks and an energy bar

    1: Flip attack, flip into the bat to destroy it.

    2: Dive attack, press S when off the ground to dive down and deal some damage (enemies coming in future update)

    3: Energy bar, flipping or attacking decreases your energy, make sure you have enough energy to do an attack before you try it.

    Press spacebar and left shift to swing and stab.

    Next update: improved world and enemies
  • OK, I'm back, I haven't had a lot of time to work on my game recently but I have finally added a new update!!!!!


    Floating skull: This enemy will follow you around the map and every 5 seconds it will open its mouth and fire a fireball at you. When I saw the skull head @rcreger made I couldn't not make an enemy out of it.

    NOTE: Due to a glitch in flowlab I have not been able to upload the background @rcreger made for me, I am going to screen record report it soon.

    Next update: More enemies and possibly health.
